Undergraduate
B.A. Radio/Television

A Radio/Television degree from the Nicholson School of Communication will give you the knowledge and hands-on experience you'll need to land your dream job in television or radio. Our production facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment for training in both the analog and digital domains. You may choose from the three academic tracks listed below, which include classes in writing and production, as well as mass communication history, regulation, management and media effects.

Radio/Television students also manage and staff WNSC, a 24/7 radio station broadcast over closed-circuit campus cable on channel 21 and online at wnsc.ucf.edu. Here, students gain constant hands-on experience with radio equipment, learn digital audio editing, and come to understand what is involved in managing a fully operational radio station, all while providing informational and entertaining content to their fellow UCF students and the world.

For more information on radio opportunities or to become involved, check out wnsc.ucf.edu. During fall and spring semesters, students following the broadcast journalism track present our weekly live newscast, UCF Knightly News.

Internships are often the beginning of successful careers for students. The majority of internships are taken for academic credit and the academic department helps find, approves the internship and supervises the intern. Click Here for Radio / Television Internships.
