Journalism instructor Rick Brunson was quoted in a lead story in the Orlando Sentinel on Sept. 6 about Facebook and Politics.
The article discusses what Facebook users should do to avoid being bombarded with political content on their news feed. With the quick approach of Election Day, many users are struggling to find ways to navigate through the nonsense. Brunson says that he strongly disagrees with the practice of blocking a friend on Facebook over politics because it’s “antithetical to the spirit of social media and free speech.”
