Welcome to the Nicholson School of Communication. We are delighted that you are visiting our site and want to know more about our School. The Nicholson School is known by its several strong programs, its successful graduates and its fine new facilities. The School offers undergraduate degrees in advertising/public relations, interpersonal/organizational communication, journalism and radio/television. Graduate students may earn a master’s degree in either the mass communication or the interpersonal communication areas. There are over two thousand students enrolled in the School.

We also have part-time faculty who are dedicated to teaching. Many of these are industry professionals who share their experiences with our students on a regular basis. Beyond this, industry professionals come to the School often to talk to classes and student groups.

Internship opportunities abound in the Orlando area, so our career-bound students can work in advertising, public relations, newspapers, radio and television stations and many other business to further their understandings in the communication business. These great opportunities, coupled with the more formal classes, prepare our students to be among the best prepared. We also have student organizations that provide opportunities to be further connected with industry. Our many successful graduates illustrate the strengths of our students and our programs.

Our facilities include a complete television studio, an on-line radio station and several computerized classrooms. Several of our classes teach students to use new media technologies. Our students produce a news program and a magazine. Some classes are offered on the web through our regional campus connections. I hope you will visit us in person at the Nicholson School.
